The strangers. A first movie for director Bryan Bertino. This is a psychological thriller heavily based on tension more than any actual violence. But the movie plays heavily on your inner paranoia. The story is of a couple which are not sure of themselves and spending a night in the isolated family summer home. Their they are taken hostage by a deranged couple and their daughter; which are all wearing masks and aim at torturing them. The couple is incapable of defending themselves and the movie is a tension builder from the get go till the final scene. An interesting film but not memorable nor particularly marking. The husband role is played by Scott Speedman and the women by Liv Tyler (wow). If you like thrillers this may keep you entertained.

Ceux -ci passent une nuit mémorable dans le chalet familial tres isole. La, ils sont attaques par une couple morbide et leur fille adolescente. Ceux-ci portent des maques et n'ont pour but que de terroriser et tuer notre jeune couple. Les victimes sont incapables de se défendre; en seriez-vous capable? Un thriller psychologique qui saura vous garder en haleine jusqu'à la fin. Ça vaut le coup? Oui si vous aimez le genre ou si vous avez un faible pour Liv...
